Bangkok’s parks and gardens offer a welcome relief from the heat and
noise of the city. The best well known parks and gardens are:
Lumphini Park is Bangkok’s largest and most well-known park. At
the northern end of Silom Road, the park is popular with families,
especially during the morning and late after noon, when it’s
coolest. Lumphini Park offers a lake for boating. There are plenty
of greenery and trees for a picnicking. No time to pack a meal,
there are two restaurants in the park.
Chatuchak Park, located in Lat Phrao, is a green space that
situated conveniently next to the famous Chatuchak Market.
Chatuchak Park can easily reach this destination by taking the BTS
sky train.
Khao Din Zoological Garden or Dusit Zoo is an artfully landscaped
enclave with an artificial lake.
King Rama IX Park is an extensive park with botanical gardens
located deep inside Sukhumvit Soi 103 in Bangkok’s eastern
suburbs. The botanical garden was opened with donations to honor
H. M. King Bhumibol.
Queen Sirikit Park on Sukhumvit Soi 24 is a beautifully landscaped
park with an artificial lake beside the Emporium Shopping Mall.
The Park is a escape from the bustle of Sukhumvit Road. The beauty
of the park provides a great back drop for many wedding parties.
