Also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha,
Wat Pho is located near the
Grand Palace. This is Thailand's oldest
temple and was built by King Rama I some two hundred years ago. The
temple houses the largest reclining Buddha image, measuring
40-kilometers long and 15-kilomters high.
Wat Pho is also regarded
as Thailand's original center of public education, often referred as
"Thailand's First University." For those in need of a good massage,
Wat Pho has become famous for its School of the
Thai Massage.
